Plaza Premium Group (PPG) today celebrated the Grand Opening of Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). This marks the arrival of PPG’s dual-lounge offering in Thailand, establishing a flagship presence in one of Southeast Asia’s primary international travel gateways.

The inauguration was marked by an official ceremony attended by PPG leadership, Airports of Thailand representatives, and key industry stakeholders. In 2025, BKK recorded 62.9 million passengers, with international traffic accounting for over 80% of total volume. Airports of Thailand advances a major infrastructure expansion to increase annual capacity from 65 to 80 million by 2030 — growth that positions the airport as a strategic anchor for PPG’s market entry in Thailand. The investment underscores the Group’s commitment to expanding its global footprint while elevating pre-flight experiences through personalised hospitality, thoughtful design, and local cultural authenticity.

Immersive Local Art & Design

In line with PPG’s design philosophy, both lounges showcase curated works by contemporary Thai artists. The art program incorporates local cultural motifs and creative mediums, featuring custom silk embroidery, glass mosaics, plant-dyed textiles, and denim-crafted cityscapes that celebrate Thailand’s rich artistic heritage.

Airports of Thailand (AOT) Mr. Kittipong Kittikachorn – General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport. added: “We are excited to partner with Plaza Premium Group to introduce PPF and PPL at Suvarnabhumi Airport and to those transiting through Thailand.
