Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has appointed Michael Yang as General Manager, Hong Kong, to lead the Group’s business and operations in the market.
Based in Hong Kong, Michael is responsible for overall market performance, including commercial outcomes, operational delivery and partner engagement with airlines, the airport and key stakeholders. He supports the execution of PPG’s strategies in Hong Kong in line with regional and Group objectives.
Michael brings more than a decade of experience with the Group across Hong Kong and Mainland China, with a strong track record in operations, business development and portfolio management. Most recently, he served as General Manager – Special Taskforce, where he led strategic expansion initiatives and strengthened relationships with airport, community and business partners.
Previously, Michael served as Acting General Manager, Hong Kong, where he led the reopening of various lounges and ancillary passenger services following the COVID‑19 pandemic and drove the re‑engineering of operating models and management systems to restore service delivery while meeting operational and financial requirements. Prior to joining PPG, Michael held roles at Airport Authority Hong Kong, where he worked across terminal operations with commercial leasing, airport landside accessibility and cross-border transportation management, and Mainland China airport collaboration projects and initiatives.
Michael holds a Master of Science in Transport and Business Management from Newcastle University, UK, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Air Transport from the Civil Aviation University of China. Michael’s appointment reflects PPG’s ongoing commitment to strengthening leadership in Hong Kong and delivering consistent commercial and operational outcomes for partners across the market.
